Note:
THESE ARE NOT THE ONLY DATES AND TIMES THAT THIS MERCILESSLY RELENTLESS AND CEASELESS NOISE NIGHTMARE WAS CONTINUING TO BLITZ AND BLUDGEON ALL WHO COULD HEAR IT. ON THE CONTRARY, THEY ONLY REPRESENT A FRACTION OF THE HELL LIFE HAS BECOME SINCE THE FAA HAS UNLEASHED ALL THE EVILS IN PANDORA’S BOX.
This sample, recorded on July 12, is typical of what residents of Lower Fairfield County have experienced beginning in late 2007, due to phasing in of the F.A.A's so-called Airspace redesign.
In the log below, you'll read about low-flying planes, often every 2-3 minutes. Since each plane's noise lasts for a good 2-3 minutes, that means the noise experienced was practically continuous.
While Sunday, July 5, and Monday, July 6, 2009, brought much more plane-noise overhead, I was too tied up with other matters to be able to log those numerous overhead flights. This "sample" from a non-holiday Sunday is typical."J" denotes jet, "sm" denotes a medium or small plane, not a large jet. "NE" means the plane was seen heading Northeast, "S" means South, and likewise for other headings such as W meaning west. "dns" means I did not see the plane, which sounded as though it was hidden behind trees, but am very certain I did hear a plane and not the echo of some loud ground-vehicle. If a question-mark appears after the heading, it means I'm pretty sure that's where I heard a plane heading, but did not see it.
Weather: There was a bit of haze overhead but as the hour wore on sky cleared.

This blog is related to the http://TheGoosingOfGreenwich.blogspot.com site, which itself is a "resurrection" of an AOL blog from 2 years ago. While "the Goose" will probably contain more stories and talking points, this site will probably be dedicated to fly-over logs. Yes, we know from the Internet what's flying where, but the point here is -- to record what residetns of Lower Fairfield County in Connecticut have been experienceing, day and night, because of the FAA's babraric so-called "Airspace Redesign."
